Well a few months back there was an idea that making a garden would be therapeutic. I don’t really see how this works as you plant the seed, natures grows the seed and then apparently you reap the harvest. Right so my preparation was not the greatest. Get a spade, turn soil over a few times, go to pub for a beer and think about what to do next. Next day go buy way to many seeds of many varieties of seeds that say will grow in winter months anywhere in New Zealand. Check directions, yeah they look not to hard. Plant seeds according to directions. Water them. No way it hasn’t stopped raining for 40 days and 40 nights. Check them every couple of days for 3 months. Then end up with this.

Well what can I say but the cliche “libraries weren’t anything like this back in my day”. Well it is my day everyday and the Lower Hutt library is exceptional and well worth the visit. The reason I am on the library boost buzz is that I was after some audio books that are hard to find good copies of and a friend suggested the library. So we did the trip to Lower Hutt, find I did indeed. I have to name some of the items you can find there that surprised me:

• XBOX,PLAYSTATION & PC GAMES
• MUSIC CDs
• DVDs
• AUDIO BOOKS on CD and some cassette tapes

Now I know you all say but I can download all this stuff off the Internet. Yeah but will you meet that extra-ordinary somebody that makes your day browsing in the same category of books on the Internet. Eh a big fat NO. So do yourself a favour and join a local library and give the brain a bit of a new outlook on the world.

A lot of libraries should have a website available to show you what they have available if not it is only a phone call away.
